Profile - Paul Docker
I have been teaching for over 30 years, the last 15 of these spent as a lead practitioner in maths following seven years as Head of Mathematics. I have mentored and tutored staff at various stages of their careers, from teacher training to supporting new heads of department. I am currently a pathway tutor for TES and I am providing strategic leadership to an acting head of maths. I have extensive experience of running CPD including TSST (teacher subject specialist training) in collaboration with the University of Plymouth (CIMT), teaching and learning and use of subject specific ICT.
Following my membership of the Matrix Maths Hub strategic board, I am now participating in a three-year professional development programme in conjunction with the NCETM leading to a designation of Secondary Mathematics Mastery Specialist. During 2018/19, I provided school support as part of the DfE Strategic School Improvement Fund (SSIF) aimed at developing KS4 mathematics teaching for disadvantaged students within 18 schools.
