Profile - Nicola White
Having taught History in a secondary setting for 8 years, I have held a variety of positions including MABLES co-ordinator and Lead Practitioner in charge of Whole School Marking and Feedback before being promoted to Assistant Headteacher in 2017. Currently responsible for Teaching and Learning at Woodlands School, I am proud to have been part of the school’s journey developing a new Teaching and Learning/Marking policy, implementing new systems to monitor the quality of provision offered by the school and introducing opportunities to ensure our pupils are lead by staff who have personalised training opportunities modelling the importance of lifelong learning. I currently lead on Continuing Professional Development, Performance Management and ITT Provision as well as overseeing a team of 17 Lead Practitioners and line managing the MFL faculty. I deliver courses for the BTSA and have worked with TES to support the development of their ITT Programme. Aware of the undeniable benefits of networking and school-to-school support, I look forward to sharing good practice to maximise educational opportunities available to young people in the area.
