Our Senior Leadership programme consists of individual sessions aimed at providing development and support for senior leaders/SLTs in a range of different topics. Delegates are able to select sessions as appropriate to reduce training time and target individual requirements. All sessions have been designed and facilitated by experienced NLEs/LLEs/SLEs or external consultants focusing on their area of expertise.  Sessions are aimed at current and aspiring senior leaders to support their career advancement. 

This is a highly participative programme in which delegates will work through a detailed case study which explores many of the HR issues that occur when managing staff. The programme will enable leaders and managers to explore the more challenging areas of people management.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the session delegates will understand:

  • their role and responsibilities as a leader or manager
  • how to effectively manage a wide range of HR issues
  • how to tackle difficult HR issues in a robust, fair and consistent way
  • the full range of support and guidance available

Module 3 - Employee wellbeing, Leave of Absence, Managing Sickness, Absence and improving Attendance, Ill Health, Retirement, Voluntary Resignations, Terminations and an overview of HR policies. 

This programme is only suitable for secondary phase.
