LLEs - Local Leaders Of Education
LLEs are experienced school-based Headteachers/Senior Leaders with the ability to support senior leadership within other schools to develop and improve practise in all areas.
We have LLEs within both the primary and secondary sectors:
Kirsteen Newell - Headteacher, Kingston Primary School
Kirsteen Newell, Headteacher of Kingston Primary School, was designated as a Local Leader of Education in November 2017. Kingston Primary School has twice been awarded Outstanding by OFSTED, most recently in April 2009. In September 2014, Kingston Primary School set up the ROBUS Multi Academy Trust (MAT) as a result of a direct approach from a local primary school. ROBUS means 'strength in togetherness' and this phrase underpins the philosophy of the MAT and Kingston Primary School.
Angela Savill - Former Headteacher, Bardfield Academy
Angela Savill is an experienced headteacher who, until recently, was serving her third headship in a large primary school which was also part of a MAT. The school, which serves a highly deprived area, has a high percentage of SEN and pupil premium students and consistently attained at or above national expectations. It gained its first ever ‘good’ Ofsted rating in 2013 and this was strengthened and retained in May 2019. Angela has previously worked as a school improvement advisor for a local authority; working with schools causing concern and with high performing outstanding practitioners to support them with their school improvement journeys. Angela is currently a practicing Ofsted inspector and a Trustee for a MAT.
