If you have not achieved the required GCSEs, there is an option of passing a GCSE Equivalency exam. GCSE Equivalency exams are intended for students who cannot evidence they have achieved a standard equivalent of Grade C or above in the GCSE examinations. The equivalency exam result is used as an alternative to completing a GCSE for the purpose of meeting the entry requirements of teacher training programmes. Please note it is not a GCSE.
A* Star Equivalency tests are accepted by TES Institute. Equivalencies are available for Maths, English and Science. They offer booster classes for those who have studied the recommended revision material, one-to-one classes or a kick start programme over a three week period. There is also an option to sit a mock examination before sitting the scheduled examination.
